A letter from the two of us

We are Katlin and Ryan, the two people behind Voice Companion. Katlin built the platform and looks after everything technical.

It exists because of one kind of phone call. Your mother rings at ten past ten, worried about a bill she paid last week. She rings again at half past, and again in the middle of a meeting. She is not being difficult. Anxiety is asking the question, and the only thing that settles it is a familiar voice. We wanted her to reach that voice, your voice, every time she picks up the phone, and we wanted you to have a moment to breathe.

Here is how we make money, in full. Standard costs $10 a month and includes $10 of call credit. Unused credit rolls over and never expires. Calls are 30¢ a minute, so a five-minute call is about $1.50. That is the whole of it. We do not sell data, we do not show advertising, and if the credit runs out her call simply rings your own phone. You can cancel any time. Prices are in CAD in Canada and USD in the United States.
