Accessibility
We are building Voice Companion so that a person using a keyboard, a screen magnifier, or a smaller screen can use it as easily as anyone else. This page says plainly what we aim for, what we have checked, and what we have not checked yet.
What we aim for
We are building every page to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:
- Body text set no smaller than 18px, with clear headings above it.
- Buttons, and links that stand on their own line, at least 48px tall, so they are easy to tap or click. A link inside a sentence is underlined and sits in the text.
- Every action reachable and usable from a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Reduced motion respected: nothing moves or animates unless a person has chosen to allow it.
- Pages that hold together at 200% browser zoom, on a phone screen and a wide monitor alike.
What we tested with
We check every page in Chrome, using Playwright to test it automatically and axe to flag accessibility violations against WCAG 2.2 AA as we build. We have not yet tested with a screen reader; when we have, we will say which ones here.
Known limits
The recorded voice examples on the how it works page do not yet have a written transcript.
